Big Guy Illustration

Let me take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Bo Grospitch, and I have been involved in some type of art for most of my life, and practicing professionally for about 25 years now.

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's in Graphic Design. Then worked in sign shops, loaded/unloaded freight in various warehouses, until I finally figured out that I really needed to get back to doing something that I enjoyed. I'm not afraid of hard work, but I knew I wasn't going to be able retire from throwing freight.

Had a job designing graphics for medical training software. Then moved on to creating illustrations for headwear, tee shirts, and other apparel. I continued that for about 3 years, then moved to Colorado. A few months after arriving, I was introduced to some really good folks that have a vendor contract with Hewlett-Packard, and I began laying out graphics for packaging (monitors, PCs, notebooks, keyboards, mice, etc). We also designed icons, business cards, letterheads, logos, T-shirts, websites, and more.

It's been over a decade now, and although the bulk of my work has consisted of packaging layout, I always look forward to the opportunities when I get to work on the more creative stuff (logos, illustrations, package layout concepts, etc).

I took over Blue Lightning Stencils from my dad in 2020, and began designing and fabricating stencils for electro-etching metal as a supplement to graphic design services. Providing quality products and design, honest hard work, and creating lasting customer relationships has been, and will always be, the foundation of Big Guy Illustration.
